Yes, apologies - made a big assumption on my part.
It all depends on Fit, then again if your budget allows
Vass does offer a measured bespoke service.

For a premium, you would actually get Mr Vass the man himself who will
most probably measure your feet, cut the uppers, possibly hand welt
the sole and uppers and hand deliver your shoes in the Budapest shop....

I guess the premium irrelevant if you need to catch a flight out to budapest.
Touch wood, most the Vass RTW fits me nicely...

I am not sure on the bespoke pricing, I am guessing double.

Its 600 euros. You get your feet measured and the last will be altered accordingly; at least this was what Mr Vass told me. Below are some pictures I took when I was there.

I wish Mr. Vass would travel to NYC once or twice a year to take measurements for bespoke, that would be awsome

€600 euro for Bespoke is a steal...

Lobb St James starts from £3000...

Not bespoke. Just last adjustment. Both Saint Crispina and Meermin MTO offers similar options.

This was what I thought. They call it bespoke but to me, if its really bespoke, a new last will be made according to the shape of your foot.

There was a discussion on SF quite some time ago whether Vass bespoke is really 'bespoke'.

Sounds like a hybrid MTO - MTM option to me......if it fits then everyone a winner.

This is hardly a grand strategic thought, but a greater variety of rubber soles might be nice. Something urban and civilized like the EG Thames for 9-5 Oxfords, and a decent crepe for the padding-around-on-vacation sorts of suedes.

It is good that Dainite has joined the fold, but as much as I like leather soles, it must be said that sometimes more is more.

Is the width across the ball of the foot the same or is the P2 wider?

I hate to be bothersome with strange fit questions, but can anyone comment on the fit differences between the AE 5 last and the U last?

They seem to have the same profile on paper.
