1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

My shoes are now close to completion and I am immeasurably excited,

Been in contact with mr. Kuti about getting production photos of my shoes, which was apparently impossible, but he was kind enough to burn me a DVD with photos of the general production. This is probably the best and most personal service I have ever received when it comes to non-bespoke.

Normally they don't, the latest pair of boots I received came with 3 piece shoe trees but this is becaused I asked for it, and last time I checked they will discontinue the 3 piece shoe trees. I do know they have their shoe trees made by some other (small) company in Hungary, so perhaps you could mail Vass and see if special boot trees are an option.

They have switched to spring trees for their standard trees (which costs €30), but you will still be able to order the 3 piece shoe trees at €60 if you want, I think. So they have not really discontinued it, they have just stopped using them theirselves (some problems with availability I thought it was).

Right now I think you can't order the 3 piece shoe trees, but if you can, be prepare to wait 3-4 times the times it takes a pair of shoes to be ready, I think it's the only shoe company that the trees take much more time than the actual shoe.

Slickman is correct. IMO the difference b/w whiskey, saddle and cognac shell is very subtle.

Can anyone recommend a cobbler in NYC that they would trust a pair of JL Paris with if they owned a pair? (I don't own a pair)

The proper response would be, RTW or bespoke?
