1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's going to be hard but if i learned one thing from elite sports it's determination :) And since i bought 2 G&G and 1 EG MTO and haven't got any of them it's not going to feel like I don't buy more shoes this year.

Same here - I'll go for wholecut in oxblood on the U or K last

    Oxblood in W/C so versatile....

    I hope it's your first of many....Enjoy.

My recommendation, forget about the U,K lasts on this one, too common and a little boring. go for the wholecut with perforations AND medallion in the F last - oxblood or black (I ordered this one in oxblood). It will look great, like that lovely wholecut in the Japaneese thread.

Sorry I'm on to this a little late -- what's this new C last going to be like?

Lol. Yea -- get it. Think he used Chogall's moniker in the orig. comment which led me to believe it was for real, and that Vass has a sense of humour.

Which Vass last do you think most closely approximates the shape of this shoe above?

Also, photo of the new slippers in action.

I feel as if they may be a little snug in the ball of the foot. It feels as if my feet want to be a fraction further forward in the shoes. I think it may be a function of my heel to ball size versus my heel to toe size.

Any thoughts from the gentlemen here on how to account for this for a future Budapest last order? Should I try going up .5 in size (to 45.5) or go out a width to 45 G?

I think the snug fit should work for a slipper, which would be nice as I really like the style. But I'm certain this fit would not suit a laced shoe.

I just received a pair of my vass shoes today and I love them, just that they're a tad too loose and the leathers are touching when I tie the shoe laces. Anyone have any idea how I can check the size on my vass? Just seems like a bunch of random numbers to me. I have no idea how to post a picture so I quote what I see on the inside of the shoe "0013042- '9 or g' " and below it 'A1B1' thanks for any help! :)

The wing perforation was really nice rikod.

Decision taken, order placed with Rezsö yesterday evening. U-last wholecut w floating medallion, oxblood, single leather sole w sunken rubber toe taps.
Recommended by Mr V himself to try the same size and width as with my F-lasted shoes and return for exchange shouldn't they fit, despite Rezsö first recommending same size but G-width.
And as Rezsö said; who are we to question Mr V [IMG] ?

Four weeks production time promised. Can't wait...

Think the same size will be perfect for you! I sized up 0.5 for the U last and ended up returning it for my normal size. Sounds like it's going to be a great looking shoe! Please post pictures when they arrive!

FrankCowperwood your slippers look sooooo smart, i'm amazed !
I definitely need such a pair...
I'm just a little afraid of sizing, maybe getting measured at Budapest is the wisest idea...
Slippers' fitting is so painful to choose...

Wear in good health Flick.... do you know how to upload photos onto Flickr ?

I was told the numbers here represent the date of manufacturer: "0013042"

    0013 means 2013
    04 means April
    2 means 2nd April...

I don't know what the rest means...

Make sense as you received your shoes sometime in May.
