1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

3636 which fits very well when the left shoe is 44 and the right 43.5. Definitely a shorter last, but very comfortable.

Saddle Shell on the Budapest Last from the new batch in outdoor natural light. At first the color was a bit mundane, but I added some Venetian polish and a touch of Mahogany Saphir which made them more classic Chestnut. Really like the way that turned out. Spring is here so time for Chestnut colored shoes!

Vass needs to stay Vass, not a JL wannabe. What's the point of having different companies making the same shit?

Thank you!, the old english (I and II) is my favorite Vass design for the Italian lasts.

Not really, I have Vass shoes in F, U and P2 lasts but I don't think any of them look like JL7000. I do have a pair of black shoes like yours without the heel counter but I prefer the original old english with the counter.

And I agree with others, I wouldn't like Vass looking like english shoes.

Wise words! Vass should stick to its niche and avoid dilution.

Damn this is a nice shoe Rikod, great choice. Simple & classic. Great with a lightish linen or seersucker suit.

If someone wanted a shoe in the JL 7000 last, he should buy a shoe from JL on the 7000 last.

I'm happy with what Vass has and I think they should stick to what they're currently doing. The U last is a spectacular fit for me and I haven't been able to get the same fit from C&J or Meermin or EG.

I'm losing sleep over this museum calf thing...

Is payment the only issue with Vass for Americans?
From the info I got from Rezso, the shoes are 410 Euro shipped to USA(starting price, RTW).
I vaguely recall something about bank transfer costs, etc. but still seems not so high compared
to what is asked for around the internet. Is it customs duty?
Anyway, I will probably be in Budapest and maybe can proxy to US(or elsewhere) if there is interest. Will make a more official post
about it regarding the time, if there is interest.
