No, Karl is and he is a nice guy to work with. I guess you recognize his offerings as well. These were ordered through Ascot shoes anyway.

Yep, especially with the two tone brown brogue. Is their sizing similar to C&J handgrade last?

I have been contemplating to get one once I am back in UK

Your shoes collection is a thing of beauty, please excuse my bad joke earlier.

Yes. The only downside is his pricing, which is much higher than forum proxies even excluding VAT.

    QUESTION:

I put my Vass for like 5-6 times and on the surface the leather has some microfractures...as if it was covered by little, microscopic dots. This happens not in the toe area, in the middle, and on the both sides.
    Any ideas?

My shoes have Italian polish on, is there a link between the two things?

    I'm sorry I can't put photos I don't have any camera ATM.

Pricing is the same as Gaziano & Girling, EG or C&J.

But you can't order G&G or EG from their own store for almost half that price, which is kind of a big difference. Vass ordered from Budapest is just ~400€ plus shipping.

400 euros, but you then have the potential to get hit with duties of around $100 on top of that. Doesn't usually happen, but it can.

EG direct have gone up where ordering from a broker like Leffot or Leather Soul is only maybe 10% more. At least that's what I recall from last year.

The solution to the duty problem is to live in Europe.. But yeah, know it occasionally happens to you US customers, and that the Vass people aren't that keen to allowe exchanges if the size gets wrong for you. But for us in Europe we get cheap posting (20€), no duties and the possability for an exchange, which for me makes it a no brainier to go directly through Vass instead of some more expensive proxy alternative.

outside of europe yes. now, you can choose your carrier with Vass it's unlikely.

also you can handle exchanges better, imo.

You get that and free healthcare? You bastards:) Seriously, if you stuck in US ask Vass to ship via Magyar Posta and you'd be duty free.
