I really don't follow those rules, if I like it that is what matters, i guess it's also important what other shoes you have. I do plan to wear them only casual. I have seen many beautiful examples of balmorals w stitching that I like.

tbh, i cannot imagine that this rule exists.

    Question on fit...

If I have a low instep and narrow heel, i.e., my foot is somewhat low volume in the heel and lacing areas, would either the F or New Peter last work well for me?

    Thanks!

Others with more experience with different sizes like kolecho might help you better, but if you have a low & low volume instep, Vass will be a very difficult fit for you, specially the F.

Talk to VASSCIPO directly they are very good at answering these types of questions. Since VASS lasts became obese lately, I would advise to consider a Narrow width.

rikod, I'm loving your Vass. Round and healthy, just the way I like it.

Does anyone know what type of thread Vass uses?
    Dacron
    Hemp
    Linen
    Anything else?

    Just curious.

Looking to purchase my first pair of MTO Vass after reading through this amazing thread.

I am really liking one of the following two styles:

    or

Any thoughts from the experts here? Also, what would you guys recommend re: last and sizing? I am TTS 10.5D US.

Most importantly, how do I figure out what my calf/suede or even shell color options might be? Are there any other options (no matter how small) that more knowledgeable folks than I would recommend to make this pair perfect?

Thanks in advance for helping me out. Please PM if that is easier; don't want to clog up your thread.
