There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was just talking what RTW offers today across different brands. i'm not in the position to change defaults, though. sorry for the misunderstanding.

i can understand that EU 47 is a certain endeavour in the aspects of shoemaking.

    13 US is size 45.5 or 46,

    I'm US 8 and 41 is big for me. 9,10,11,12,13 - 42,43,44,45,46

I have a few martinis down, not sure if im correct but I think I am. I don't think 12% of the population is 13. Can you imagine a 3 eyelet F last size 47?

I'd recommend using CurrencyFair then. Should be about $3 to transfer the funds and with some luck you can get better than live rates

    Interesting.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but if with a service like this funds are deposited on the receiving end account in HUF currency, does that qualify for the Vass cash discount?

    Thanks!

Has anyone done a sizing comparison for Vass last to Alden lasts? I'd like to step up to Vass next time I buy some shoes, but most of my fit experience is with Alden and AE.

The Vass lasts are 3636, Budapest, Peter, New Peter, F, U, and K (I don't think I missed any there...).

Try to ascertain the lasts that Vass offers and see what you like and then search this thread (and other old threads) to see if that last might realistically fit you. Without a more specific question, there really isn't a good way to compare one Alden last to another Vass last.

What are your feet shaped like and what size/last are you already wearing from Alden?

I was mostly interested in the Vass F, New Peter, and U lasts (in that order)

My feet are kind of flat and just wider than average. I wear a 10D in the AE 5 last and the same in 2 of the Alden for Brooks Brothers shoes I've gotten (shell captoe and shell tassel loafers). I just tried a 9.5D in the Barrie last on some boots I ordered, but I'm moving up to a 10D there as well because they were too tight for me.

Does Vass make wide widths, or you just have to go with a different last? I see that people say the U last is a bit narrow (or at least narrower than other Vass lasts).

Of those, which one is a narrow-ish chiseled last like C&J 337 or Carmina Rain? Thanks.

i know rite.. what the hell's going on over there? nothing really new other than the DM strapping. Some are execrable- 'shark combo' [IMG]

Most are regular styles with fancy stitching and odd leather combos. I mean odd. can't get with shouty 2-tones- Melton 133 is least offensive

U and K are chiseled narrow lasts.

Don't hold back.....tell us what you REALLY think! :D

I liked 134 - the shark London model.

I think we all agree that the shark combo (135) needs a stake through it's sole followed by an inferno and burial at sea. Oh, and an exorcism.

I guess you all like the lasts that look very much like the boxes they come in. I understand! They work for small sizes, but try them in Euro 47 or us 13.5! Ugly at best.
Think of the other models as starting points to get away from the short vamp, very round toe, your-grandfather shoes.

nonsense, nobody is talking about the lasts, look at the italian line, all of them beautiful and in the U or F last if you don't like the traditional lasts. Those new styles are just atrocities for pimps or circus clowns, worse than ascot x 1000.

btw, no shoe ever will look good in 47 IMO, no matter the last
