    unless i've missed something, i don't see how a plain toe blucher is the second most formal shoe.

    my pair are alt wien without medallion, whiskey shell cordovan, 270 degree goyser, double leather sole on the P2. I'll post a pic later.

    doesn't mean anything to me, thats why I said IMO.
    If wearing a red/reddish open laced shoe with a Navy/Black/Grey suit works, by all means wear it in good health.

    Me think that Vass use normal color sole edge for burgundy shell,
    but they use different color for reason me not know. :fu:

    !!! had to look that one up !!! au contraire mon ami - volume's turned right down on these, and a plain Blucher finely made, like this one, looks fine with a suit.
