mm but without the triangular shape of a straight toe
You still new at shoe game to mr moo,
but you learn quick.
You good student.
The first one is normal box calf in 6319 cognac. That is a Vibram commando sole, and it is pretty much only thing they carry. Of course they will make the shoes with other rubber soles too (e.g. Dainite ones), but you need to send the material to Vass. The rubber sole is on top of the mid sole.
Yes, the second one is standard dark brown scotch grain. The holes are the same size as on shoes. Maybe it's the shape of the lace that makes the holes look bigger?
High boots on normal box calf / scotch grain go for about EUR 550-600.
I can't stand english shoes but I don't like I-genting of Mitteleuropean makers either.
That's what I was worried about; any suggestions here?
Excellent thanks Cal, I deduced some of that info from the vass site as well. I need to know which burgundy the scotch grain is also from the other picture of the split toe boot that I didn't post.
Not a big fan of corthays though they'd be good for a tux I reckon.
I think I've said it before but I see a lot of fancy/crazy combinations or ultra-sleek shoes and, while they look cool as objects, I don't see them working with how MCers dress or even look like. Instead of beeing too sexy for their cats (right said Fred) it's their shoes that are too sexy for them. Wearing my Vass boots right now, nice durability as they've been through hell.
Jet: Corthay Arca look better with slim jeans than with slacks.
It's bordeaux scotch grain. It's touch darker in reality vs the picture.
i rock some crazy berlutis and ultra-sleek shoes (vass u and k lasts - no k yet though those are next on my list, and lattanzis) regularly and look damn good doing it...get compliments regularly
what can i say?...haters gonna hate
I don't know you and likely won't. Just making a general remark about the disconnect I see between shoe choice and everything else. It's another one of those "being a clothing nerd has it's style drawbacks" kinda thing.
i always mentioned it also.
hmmh, it's not about hate, it's about proportions and aesthetics... ...and what fuuma said.
if it works for you. i won't doubt it. more power to you.
Can't agree more. Most of the high end shoes look great on their own but plain right fugly when being worn...
