Thank for your reply. Do you think on my next order i should ask for 1 cm less width ? Thanks.
No.
Wear a slightly thicker sock if you need to.
Best not to play around with shoe sizing until you know your feet very well.
Feet and fitting is complex,
can take years of careful observation to understand basic things.
Sometimes a 1mm or 2mm can make a big change in fit in areas,
so leave it alone and play it safe.

I agree with the above, 1cm in last terms makes a huge difference. Consider a few mm, perhaps, but even then. I think the shoes look very good on you.

Hello!

I’m looking to get my first pair and wanted some sizing advice for the U last, as well as K and F. My sizing in other brands is listed below:

- Allen Edmonds 9D
- Alden 9D (most lasts, 8.5 in the Barrie)
- Carmina 8E (Simpson, Inca, Rain last)
- Common Projects 42 (Achilles Low sneaker)
- Corthay 9 (Pullman last)
- Edward Green 8.5E/9 in the 82 last
- Gaziano & Girling 8.5E (DG, TG lasts)
- John Lobb 8E (7000, 8000 last)

F last take the same size 8 as Carmina

Wow your foot is amusing, almost never seen a guy take carmina Simpson and rain on the same size while sizing up for GG deco

I sized but 0.5 for gg too, but so did I for Simpson.

I’m thinking a 42 for the U last, but wondering if I need to make it 42.5 since it’s a narrow last.

Fairly Sure you will be a 42 in F. U can be tough, a lot of people go up a half size but I think it depends on the width of your toes in the box area. I'm guessing that if you do need to size up, its probably not the best last for you.

Is the K last wider than F? I wear 8 UK in carmina rain last I was thinking to size up to 42.5 in K and F.

How does the quality compare with likes of TLB and Carmina? I remember Vass was alway more expensive but after all the recent price hikes by Spanish maker prices look comparable.

First of all, Vass offers several bordeaux colours ranging from bright to deep plum.

If you want a reddish brown, go with oxblood. It's a brown base with red undertones. Bordeaux is straight up red and comes in several shades. You'll have to email Vass to see the different shades. Bordeaux museum is a deep mottled plum colour. Brown museum is a mottled dark brown. Standard brown is a dark flat brown. Below are a couple of comparison shots. None including brown museum. If I hadn't stored. My bordeaux museum and brown museum I'd take pics for you. But unfortunately, they're stored in the attic.
