F is for me the best RTW last of any. It fits me to perfection, which is nice, and it also looks great.

Agreed. Although P2 and Budapest are pretty fantastic in their own right.

Both shoes are modified Budapest-Oxfords, inspired (especially the cognac version) by the Oliver Moore shoe presented in Laszlo Vass's book. Cognac is really versatile color, works well with formal or casual outfit. Mainly use them with jeans.

imo, when people go vass, they should stick with the classics.

"andere mütter haben auch schöne töchter."

hopefully, somebody can help me out with the translation of the saying...

Those buying U and F Vass shoes are really buying Ugolini last and designs, made by Vass. In fact this is exactly how U and F lasts are labelled in Isetan Tokyo, Roberto Ugolini (Made by Vass). There is Vass and there is Vass, and there is Ugolini and there is Ugolini.

Yeah but this is marketing - the jap love of slim Italian styles. The p2 and f are pretty similar. I respect the A-H echt-ness of the Buda last but I just wouldn't wear them.

. Lol. The P2 is a happy medium and the Norweger on this last is my fab casual shoe of all. Seriously great shoe but an inauthentic hybrid. We cannot keep shoe-making in a museum!

imo, you could rock the budapest. it's not over, yet. kostolany could...

from the pictures, i like the p2 a lot. as is already said, from my pov vass is compensating the lack of widths with their different lasts. talking their "classic" line.

i have to talk to mr. berta next time, i see him. his families company was closely involved in the development, if i'm not mistaken. cheers.

How is the U last width for U. Does it fit well and is it the same real width (not size measurement but actual width).

In any regards it is clear what you are trying to show and what you refer to in terms of flow and sleek. The U last does not have that continuous flow but has more a sudden change in shape at the forepart. It is exactly this change and contrast that makes the U last more interesting, appealing, sleek to my eyes. The other shoes lack definition and contrast and are too long in the forepart in order to achieve that contrastless flow in my opinion.
