These just in: black wholecuts in New Peter last, single oak bark soles. You may call me an iconoclast, but I find Vass's NP last to both look and feel much better than the fabled F one. More contoured, with a lower instep, slimmer welts and a traditional round toe. I will of course keep my F pair, but future orders will be placed with New Peter.

As black wholecuts are a bit boring to look at, I'm planning to switch the current laces to slim ribbon versions. Do you know where I could get pair, preferably in velvet?

+1 these shoes look fantastic Raivo- and congats on going single sole. leaning to the elegance of the single too - these don't have the 'bumper car' look,( which is fine but gotta have variety)
I thnk the P2 is close to a 'perfect' last shape, tho a bit on the conservative side.
+1 on the laces, I'd like to know too.

Love this shot. You can really get a feel for the shape of the NP which is very nice. I don't think the NP would work for me with oxfords since it does have a lower instep, but it's perfect for derbies. Curious about monks.

Can anyone with NP monks comment on how that fits on the instep compared to the F and U lasts?

I might sound like CB but I fail to see the new instant luuurrvvv for the PS Vash last. For the last year no one around here wanted to buy or luurrvvv them.
