From now on, all oxblood photos must include a grey card and have been white balance corrected prior to upload.
:tinfoil:

I am 100% sure they only have on supplier and that there is only one product code. So differences are due to the tanning.

Surprisingly handsome model in person. I don't know if it's the FB last or this particular pair, but it feels extra supportive. Even the waist was a bit curved (fiddleback) unlike the typical flat outsole

I found the F last to be pretty generous in thr Ball of thr foot. Whereas the U last was very snug there
Actually, Vass F Last is true to size.... almost. I am UK 9.5 and on Vass F last 43.5 loafers, it is a very snug fit. Don't think you can size down.
Every other one, really. Too many to remember but off the top of my head:

Meermin’s Ben and Elton.
Carmina’s Rain and Forest.
Enzo Bonafè’s 946.
Joe Works’s 0 last.
Cobbler Union’s City last.
Löf & Tung’s S last.

I was taking a look at Vass site and $400 euros for handwelted shoes is really good. So I'm tempted haha. But now, size.

From the site, I guess a 43 EU (9 UK) should fit but I'm hesitant.

For reference, I'm a 10.5 US - 9.5 UK:

Carmina Rain: 9.5UK
Carmina Inca: 9.5UK (best fitting Carmina last for me due to the low instep)
Carmina Uetam: 9.5UK (fits very nice due to the low instep)
Loake Capital: 9.5UK
Meermin Hiro: 9.5UK (I have the chukkas in 10UK, they are very very big for me)
John Lobb 9795 (Willima II): 9UK (I tried the 9.5UK and it was quite long and with too much volume, couldn't tried the 9UK wasn't available but the 8.5UK was very tight).

I do have the length (277 and 278 mm) and width (101 and 100 mm) of the 9.5UK in most brands but I have a very low foot volume (245mm girth). For example in Carmina Rain, going 9UK is extremely tight against my pinky toe but I get less volume but it's not a comfortable fit.

So, for the F last, which size should I go? And for the U last?

If Carmina Rain is almost too tight in 9UK, I wouldn't go 43EU in Vass F and definitely not in Vass U since both fit tighter than Carmina Rain. I would recommend 43.5EU.

Vass sizing is so tough to figure out without trying them on. I guess I’m the wrong person to ask since Vass (F last) is not an ideal fit for me regardless of size. I’m a true 7 UK in all my shoes including Carmina Rain. I first tried a 41 and it was too big then I tried 40.5, it’s much better but still doesn’t really work.

@Betelgeuse I'd say 43.5 for you for both. I'm a comfortable 9.5UK in Rain and for me U is tolerable though very snug in 43.5 and F is a little more room but not much. Sounds like I have a higher instep and slightly wider forefoot than you but I'd be hesitant to size down to 43.

Thanks guys! I think 43.5 would be a better fit. And I think in both lasts F and U due to my low instep. Now I just have to figure out customs stuff and that to get them hehe.

43.5 is probably the right size, but as noted, it's difficult to know with F and U without trying them on. I take 9.5 in Rain and 43.5 in F and U. (More precisely, I take 43 for my left foot and 43.5 for my right and sometimes still need a tongue pad in the left shoe.)

Nice! Gracias señor Six! :slayer:
