After about 8 months of wearing boots almost exclusively, strapping on a pair of shoes feels.... weird. A bit insubstantial - like, is that all there is? I do love this pair, though. Austerity brogues in navy museum that is (weirdly) much darker than standard and all but bereft of the traditional museum mottling.

I asked Vass about the instep of the FB last on IG and they said the instep isn't higher than on the F last.

Yes, the email invoice had a link that led to a checkout page on the site. No problems using a US-based credit card to make the payment.

Thanks I’ll check it out. I was thinking of something like the Vass NST boot on a last similar to Trickers 4497 or Alden indy boot. Something informal.

I'm not sure I would call any of Vass' lasts similar to 4497 or Trubalance. Certainly not F. Also the facings end much farther from the toe on Vass' patterns relative to Alden and Trickers. So I don't think you would ever get a similar look, if that's what you're after.
