I am considering getting af pair of suede chukkas on the U last with dainite/vibram sole. Do any have experience with rubber soles from Vass. I also normally have the double sole tapering to one. Should I still go for that with a rubber sole.

Vass doesn't do Dainite unfortunately. They do Vibrams, but they're pretty chunky soles. They would probably look best on the P2 last.

Your toes are supposed to be able to wriggle in the toebox area. Otherwise they are too tight especially when you feet swell after walking.

Some suede loafers in mid brown, F last. [IMG] And the saddle shell shoes side by side. The wingtip is visually slimmer but fits the same as the brogued cap toe. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

i think Sadle is the all time greatest shell color - other rave on whiskey etc but i think this is the best tone

Tough to pick. I have one pair of each and I'd slightly lean towards whiskey based on those as it looks a bit more distinctive while my saddles seem more classic chestnut. I imagine that could easily be reversed based on another set of hides. The lesson is to buy both!

    Hi everyone
I'm looking to order my first pair of Budapest oxfords in the U last but need some advice on sizing. I wear a UK9 on the C&J 348 and UK9.5 for G&G. I'm assuming I will be a 43.5 for the U last?

On my experience (UK8.5 on C&J 348), US 9.5D in everything, 43 in Vass U last - you are correct.

Unless u have reasonably narrow feet, yes, size up. Not everyone needs to.

c'mon, nobody really needs dainite as vibram is so much better, imo.
