Well done on these. Many people on here won't like them, but that's the beauty of these types of boots is that you have that spectrum of leathers, colors, and styles that fit exactly what you the buyer wants.

So, my question is to Cal135: are you pleased with them?

I like the eyelets on this type of boot. I also like the idea of not doing anything to the suede as they get older and kind of let it "do its thing".

The absence of gimping makes this shoe perfect. Everyone should have a pair.

I'm very pleased with these boots. I have total of four pairs :D of Vass high boots and these are the dressiest. 6319 cognac with dark brown brown suede is very very nice combo, and U-last fits perfectly with the style of the boot.

Looks like bordeaux calf to me. Oxblood is a lot darker. Think black with hints of bordeaux.

thx for the pics - forensic to say the least

Don't often see the cognac or the single sole; so much so that I had to check these are indeed Vass.
    Great Summer shoe.

You're very welcome. I do love my shoe porns. More pictures on more angles help in deciding which last to opt, and -- while on the subject of lasts -- help in arguing which maker has got the most win on lastmaking.

Aha, nice. I still can't decide which color of Vass I want, have you compare oxblood to this in person? Is oxblood just a bit darker or a lot darker.

    * Ah never mind, the other guy said it's a lot darker, but it would be cool if anyone got a side by side picture for comparison purpose.

got a side by side picture by any chance? I looked up on Vass's website, and honestly I can't see much difference...

A bit off topic since this is the Vass porn thread, but is this really the consensus? I haven't even seen a competition since Gaziano&Girling launched their RTW lasts. They have a bespoke feel and look outmatched by none -- and I've owned and ogled too many shoes to mention.

Bordeaux followed by Oxblood. FWIW I think the Bordeaux is a little to bright for my taste, but the oxblood rocks
