There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Thanks guys.

I'm really looking forward to them.

I'm curious how they'll look with my narrow opening Japan Blue Godzilla jeans.

New arrival today: Vass Blue Bal Boots courtesy of @jokb

These are made on the K last in a wide fitting. Haf sole with Topy and metal toe taps. What isn't navy grain is navy museum.

I was a little leary of the K last in a bal boot and hedged my bet by going up in width. It seems to have been the right call. Fot through the forefoot is good and through the toe box just that little bit more forgiving. The heel is maybe a touch wider than I need it to be, but this is of less concern in a tall boot than in a shoe.

Overall I am tickeld pink... um... blue!

Here are the boots as they came from Vass:

Then after a proper shine by Jok:

You feet sounds similar to mine. I have narrow heel, very flat feet yet very wide toe area. I ordered a pair in F-last after trying in the Budapest store. While the heel and instep fit very well, my toes are a bit tight. If I went up a half size, however, my heel would slip though my toes would feel fine. Mr Kuti said for my next order, they can specifically make the toe room wider for me, which should solve the issue.

You should talk to Mr Kuti, he's very nice and would try his best to cater to your need. But after all, with such tricky feet shape, I strongly advise trying on the shoes before ordering, if possible. :)

3 eyelets chukka boots on F last in Gold Museum calf arriving this week. Initially planned for dark brown museum but worried it would turn out too dark. Plan to try Walnut or Dark brown museum for next MTO.

Has anyone think/tried of ordering a MTO pair with the insole/bed of the shoe in the same colour as the shoe? The classic tan leather insoles are a bit boring .. This is something a John Lobb is offering with their Prestige line ..

Are John Lobb and Vass at the same price point now? (I dont know what the 'prestige' line is, and was wondering if it was a fair comparison)

Also- When are you going to be seeing the insoles? These shoes are for wearing right?

So, you are making comparison based on the price point now? Interesting, as for the far lower price Vass is doing the hand welted soles, whereas Edward Green does not. What does that tells you? It's not all about the price point.

I am surprised to read such a thing in the forum and thread where almost everything is about the attention to detail rather than practicality.

I don't much care about the colour of the insole. Some like vibrant contrast. Some like same colour. Neither is "better" . And I don't see how contrasting lining / insoles are "boring" in comparison with the monochrome treatment. But people like what they like. And if it really matters to you, order it the way you want.

Gorgeous! That navy museum is really something and the glazing job is awesome.
