1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

If my memory serves me well, last pic here of an R last boot was from great member Namor. I really like that last but my sizing experience with Vass lasts is tricky.

These came in today, absolutely stunning! I'm totally in love with them, all the eyelets are attached and everything! They're exactly what I pictured and better. I'll take some more shots tomorrow in natural light.

    Those are cool.

I like the way the austerity brogue stitching is located and looks.

Yeah! I just asked for a U-Wing got that, it's actually what I wanted but I forgot to specify. Glad Vass can read my mind!

a dilemma that i'm sure has come up more than once: i'm set on a pair of scotch grain (probably dark brown or cognac) norwegers. i'm evenly split between the peter (which i understand was designed with norwegers in mind) and either the P2 or the F last (which seem pretty similar to my eye). guidance regarding the nuances of these three lasts would be tremendously helpful... of course the easy way out would be to just go with the NMWA makeup on the F last, but agonizing over minute design elements is half the fun right?

It definitely is part of the fun figuring out details. I would say that the fit is the most important part. Without looking at fit there are so many details however if a manufacturer doesn't work then looking at their details is unnecessary. GG as much as I love the style they don't work for my foot.

On another note if your a size 43 and want the F last norwegers I'm selling a pair. Shameless plug I know.

I agree with @justinkapur fit is the important part. A norweger will look amazing on either Peter, P2 or F. F is a touch narrower and sleeker than P2. if you prefer chunkier lasts then I would opt for Peter or P2.

Absolutely, I'll try to convince the missus to do it since she has the nicer camera.

Do they have anything close to purple? In love with EB's aubergine calf but more keen on Vass' style for my next pair.

They don´t. They have burgundy and oxblood. Don´t know what happens if you put blue wax on a burgundy shoe....
