1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Not expecting heavy snow today - or even heavy rain. But it is rather cloudy. And it was past time for the first outing of these heavy-duty dressy boots (can't think what else to call them). [IMG]

Those soles are incredibly robust and comfy. I've got a pair of AE boots with them. After 5 years of all-weather, all-terrain abuse, the uppers have completely fallen apart. But the sole is still going strong.

    You'll love it.

Excellent. Hoping they'll get some antic cognac shell soon for something I have in mind.

I wear a Vass 43.5 on both F and P2...the Budapest last is a bit shorter than those, but just as comfortable. I'd say a hair roomier. I have odd shaped feet and for this last I actually do a 44 for my left foot and a 43.5 for my right. It really is a great last and not at all clunky.

The comfort came as a surprise to me, but you couldn't be more right.

    Gentleman,

Wearing my first Vass today, a budapest derby on the P2 last. It is the most comfortable last I've experienced out of the box and I've worn Carmina Simpson, Uetam, Rain, Detroit and Enzo Bonafe 946. Its possible I go the whole day with them, which would be a first for calf leather. The other shoe I worn an entire day out of the box is a Carmina on tarnsjo leather. Amazing quality. Love them. Can't wait for my soon to come F last shoe.

I think Peter is narrower, as I could not fit in it when I visited the shop but could get into P2. But I was traveling and might have had feet swell in ways they wouldn't today so check with Vass to confirm.
