as part of my new-job-overseas-spending-spree, I remembered reading somewhere about made-to-measure black formal bowties from Robert Talbott. So, after a few emails back and forth to get the details, i called the representative at the Carmel, CA store to place an order for both a batwing and butterfly black bowtie. They should be here in about 2 weeks!

If you plan to order one, just know that they need the length from tip-to-tip that you require (rather than neck size). I went one inch longer than the tie I have now, so i can create a nicer bow than i'd done previously.

If you're a size 15.5", you might be interested in snatching up the two butterfly-bow ties i'm replacing (one satin, one coarser black silk), marked size 16" neck from Budd Shirtmakers of England (literally worn twice); I'll post in the for-sale section.
