So, what's up? Are we supporting local/small businesses or are we lining up for hours at Winners/Homesense trying to save a buck? I'm torn.
Would love to do as much as I can if this fucked up government could actually do something for its people - but we remain in lockdown :brick:

Not really. I bought an Isaia suit from fleabay and pair of (still unworn) EG from their private sale. I guess I did support local businesses by taking the suit to my tailor and the shoes to GTA Shoe Shine.

There isn't really any occasion to wear any CM clothing until I can travel.

I've only added Gustin and Brave Star denim to my collection, along with a few pairs of boots. All purchased online. I haven't stepped into a store/mall since beginning of pandemic. Not sure I need to add any work clothes, given I mostly WFH now.

What are everyone's thoughts on Mandarin collar shirts? I dont own one but am considering it. I guess it's kind of a party-style shirt? I'd probably wear it to a bbq or bar (lol)

I won't repost everything that Corey Hiltz recently did for me (you can check the separate thread I started).

A few pairs needed simple tune ups - new heels and sole protectors. A pair of shell cordovan got grommets, toe taps as well. You can see that the toe taps are completely flush.

And a vintage pair of AE boots was completely rebuilt with new insoles, welts, thick midsole, and Vibram soles.

Going to be in Montreal next week (due to hockey haha). Any recommendations? I definitely want to go to Nonchalance. Had the chance to speak to them briefly via DMs on IG and they seem like a good spot. Also been to GS Douville in the past and really like that place

I am not sure if anyone is interested but, I am selling a pair of Taft Saint boots size 9-9.5 (EU42) We can meet somewhere if you prefer. 80CAD. Rubbers were added and the boots are in good shape.

When I first started to look for better made shoes, I naturally found Allen Edmonds. I have sold off most of mine for brands I like, mostly vintage ones like John McHale, Florsheim, Dacks, etc.

I still have a few pairs of their boots. But if anyone is looking to buy more pairs, be aware, they no longer qualify for duties exemptions, as most of the manufacturing is NOT done in US. This is the path that many shoe companies walked. Sad to see.

Any recommendations for knit reweaving in the city? In my case a solid coloured cashmere sweater
