Agree with this - the suit seems stiffly canvassed/padded throughout - seems to "force" you into a robot pose instead of draping naturally.

I think also you have a slight right sloping shoulder which would require adjustments to the padding, sleeve pitch and length.

How do you feel wearing it?

Don't think I saw it here just yet, but Leatherfoot appears to be $610 for calf/suede Carmina + HST for their new stock.

Basically puts everyone at the same price ("IF" you get charged appropriate duties upon delivery from abroad).

^Personally I'd rather buy Vass from Jok, especially after you add the cost of trees for those Carminas.

It does feel a little stiff when I wear it, but I assumed that was because the more you wear a canvassed suit the more it melds. The shoulders especially feel a little structured. Is this due to the canvassing being too thick?

I took the suit in today and my friend said he'd be able to loosen the back a bit so the pulling stops. With regards to the sleeves he said he could open the sleeves up a bit so they don't pull as much. I also noted that the suit could just need a press as I've worn it quite a bit.

I think the price point is still good so I mentioned for the next one I have made to have the lapels 3 inches instead of 2.5, about an inch longer on the suit, "softer" shoulders if possible.

Do you think if I got a half canvassed instead of full canvas it would be less structured? Really appreciate everyone's commentary and advice you've all been extremely helpful!

Full canvas should be soft and light right on the first fit, at least for quality canvas. Ask him to the lightest shoulder pad as possible. It shouldn't feel bulky when you feel it.

Just noticed that my credit card has been killing me on foreign currency fees. They charge me $0.10 on the dollar for any foreign transaction, I only noticed because I had a refund happen on the same day as a purchase. Painful to think that I've been paying an extra 10% on many many clothing purchases.

I have a no currency fee credit card from amazon.ca i use it for everything that is charged in non-canadian funds. It saves me the 2.5% fee and gives 1% cashback on my statement. I usually get back $40 a statement..

That's the one I'm planning on switching to actually. I just moved though so I apparently need to wait for a credit statement from my current card to appear here before they can confirm me.
