^seconded on Robert Jones re: more EG. They are, however, dumping Santoni
Robert Jones has a KILLER pair of Galways in dark brown Utah. Nearly $1,800 though - so north of $2k after tax.
Really? That seems low, considering duties and taxes total 31%. Must have been some kind of a great price from Skoak! I paid CDN$500-plus in duties and taxes alone on my G&G Burnhams.
Just got back from the Harry's outlet. Picked up a mainline Zegna Cotten and silk blend corduroy suit for $75! Marked down from $2600!
Also, they got a big sale coming up on suits. Will likely stack with current discounts since that's been done in the past.
Does anyone know of any cobblers in the GTA that can put a Dainite sole onto a pair of shoes?
Nick's. Call to confirm.
when's the sale?
Interesting theory you have there.
No complaints from me regarding Harry's brand diversity in suiting, but the shoe labels they carry sadden me. Allen Edmonds and Church's just about sums up the better dress shoe brands (I'm not sure if they still carry Salvatore Ferragamo's Tramezza line). I daresay that their sneaker selection is better!
I took a gander at the Royal Bank Plaza location during Fan Expo last weekend. More or less the same as Leatherfoot, although some older models for around $1400 are around. I think I saw the Galway for $1795, though my memory's a little fuzzy.
Couple weeks (didn't get a firm date). Will be a pretty good sale, especially if buying multiples.
Hey guys, need your opinions.
As per my comment at the top, I picked up a Zegna corduroy suit for a great price. It's a cotton/silk blend and it's fully lined.
My question is, would corduroy be a three season, or four season suit? Cords are typically associated with colder weather, correct? I've seen some unlined cord suits that looked like they were for summer, but am unsure.
Spring and Fall piece IMO. Jacket is a nice odd piece on its own also. What colour?
Hard to describe, but almost a medium grey, depending on the angle.
On the topic of Robert Jones, anyone notice their Inis Mein knitwear collection? Variety? Pricing?
Not sure, but their offerings are getting more varied. Bigi ties, Doucal shoes, marinella, finamore, etc...
They also have decent sales (Barbera shirts for $95).
Didn't know they had IM knitwear - will have to check them out. I walk past the store everyday day but always feel sheepish going in because I'm always paranoid that my clients are walking by and will spot me and wonder why I'm shopping during business hours...
