Does anyone know if any stores in Toronto carry Stan Ray items? Specifically the fatigue pants. The Stan Ray site shows Livestock and Muddy George as retailers, however those store's sites don't show any of these items.

Does anyone know of locations in Toronto that offer alcohol that I can go to and shop for high-end designer clothing? Looking for more casual clothing and not suits

Funny you mentioned the Isaia store and booze. I entered the store on Dec 27 in the afternoon. As soon as I entered, a short man, wearing an extremely tight jacket, bursting at the seams, told me the bar was closed. Puzzled, I asked him if this was a bar or a menswear store. He shrugged violently, nearly exploding that garrish jacket at the shoulder seams. I left.

As I left, I passed by Oliver Jewellery. ie. the pawnshop and well-known moneylender of last resort. Two plainsclosthes guys ran out, one chasing the other. The second guy reached out with what looked like a baton. There was a strange noise. The first guy screamed and collapsed. A bunch of Iranians were eating icecream nearby and were gasping, half thrilled, half horrified. I heard the words: "****, that's a taser!"

I stood there to eavesdrop on their conversation, in English, and learned that Oliver is behind the shootings at the girls' high school, because of a turf war with Harold the Jewellery buyer.

Since then I have been confused and scared, because I thought only licensed law-enforcement officers can carry tasers. Is that right? Or with the rise in daylight robbery, can anyone arm themselves? Tasers are available online, and shipping is now available again.

CBP changed their system. You always had to say the value (and could easily undervalue) but now you have to attach a receipt. Dont know how easy it is to lie about the value anymore.

I was using CBP to ship stuff from US to Canada, and was asked to provide proof of value. Have anyone been asked for that before? I did wrote a lower value for the package and wondering what I should do.
I've been using CBP for years. All of my purchases I simply upload the invoice/receipt. Never an issue.

Just write to CBP and tell them you made a mistake on the value. Easy fix.

The lesson is to be honest.

Hi all,

This is my first post. I am looking for recommendations for alteration tailors in Toronto. I’ve skimmed through the thread (all 700 pages) and saw that Magic Tailor and Xavier were mentioned frequently, but not recently. Since I’m a beginner, I’m not even sure what alterations my suit needs yet. It is very wrinkly for some reason, especially the back.

Here’s some context: I just completed my undergraduate studies and have interviews in the financial services industry coming up. I inherited a 38R Hugo Boss Super 100 suit from my father and want to make it work for the interviews, but it definitely needs some alterations.

Here’s what I think needs adjusting:
  1. Jacket Alterations:
    • Waist suppression (I’m pinching about 3 inches on each side, but I’ve read 1–2 inches is ideal).
    • Sleeves shortened.
    • The jacket seems a bit long. Would it be considered traditional full-length, or is it too long for a modern fit?
    • There’s a slight issue with the shoulders—ends are raised slightly. Is this due to the jacket being too small, or is something else going on?
  2. Pant Alterations:
    • The hips appear too wide, and the seat needs adjustment.
    • I assume the pants are straight fit with a 1/4 break, but I would prefer a no-break look with a more tapered leg. Should I tailor the pants, or find a new pair?
Any advice would be appreciated!
