Hey folks,

I need to get some sport coats tailored beyond just simple sleeve shortening and also some trousers tapered with possible seat and waist adjustments. I'd appreciate it if you're able to offer some of your top suggestions. I currently don't have a go-to tailor in the TO area, and quite frankly, I'm not keen on engaging in a process of discovery by risking my precious clothes, so I'd prefer to take my chances with the recommendations of those in the thread who have tried various options.

Any feedback regarding Bucharest tailor?
I also see a mention of "Ian" on this thread often, with great feedback. Curious to know the name of the shop.

Ian's with the london bespoke club. their shop is downtown TO on Yonge, just south of Richmond

Gave up with Xavier years ago. Ian's better in every respect to work with.

Thank you.
What's the best way to go about getting in touch with Ian? Do you usually contact them in advance to book an appointment? Or just walk-in and ask for Ian?
What kind of prices does Ian charge for adjusting jackets (shoulders, waist, back) or trouser (waist, seat, thigh adjustments)?

Any other recommendations you have?

Interested as well if you have any info.

I used to go to Walid at Suit's tailor house but he, unfortunately, had to close down a month or two ago. I need to find a new downtown tailor for minor alterations.

Hello All.

It seems like I'm missing good stuff happening here in Toronto (sales, meetups, etc).

My thoughts are that we should have one centralized Toronto thread. For all sales and Toronto-centric conversation.

I was hoping you could spread the word about a visit of a great Neapolitan tailor who will be in Toronto during the second week of June. He represents Sartoria Manna from Naples. Fabio is the founder's son and he is in Toronto for 3 to 4 days to take orders and meet with potential clients. prices are very reasonable, ranging from 2000 Euro for a single-breasted suit and up. Hugo Jacomo from Sartorial Talks on Youtube spoke very highly of this tailor and had suits commissioned by him.

Looks like we've been getting more Neapolitan tailors coming to Toronto lately. How'd you find out about this? Unfortunately, just commissioned something with Gennaro Annunziata so I won't be able to do anything for this particular trunk show but definitely interested/hopeful that he'll come back for a future trip.

I often watch Sartorial Talks on Youtube for the latest news in tailoring. I do not know what kind of prices you are paying with Genarro but Fabio charges 2000 Euro for suits which is a steal for a Neapolitan bespoke suit

Absolutely. Agreed 2000 EURO is a crazy steal. I'm quite happy with what I've experience with Gennaro so far but he's definitely much pricier (I paid 3750 EUR for a jacket which is currently being made) so having the option for a more budget friendly Neapolitan tailor would definitely be great!

Keep in mind that Sartoria Manna has been in business for over 30 years and the head tailor is a seasoned professional. Gennaro is still young and has much experience to gain. I met with him and felt hesitant to drop that kind of coin with a young tailor. Just food for though.

If you want the utmost care for your garments from an exceptional tailor - I recommend Ian. He's located downtown and by appointment only via the London Bespoke Club. I've gone to him for years and have never been disappointed.
