You have to figure out your size AND width.

Go to Ivor Woolridge in the Path. He knows how to measure properly. A lot of shoe stores have no idea how to do it.

I used to buy 10 or 9.5 shoes. Then I went to what used to be Dacks store. Realized I am actually 8.5eee for US shoes like AE, or 8.5G for Canadian shoes like Dacks.

For English brands, I am 8.5F, or even 8.5G. For some lasts, 8G can work.

So the key is to know width and size.

I think people keep coming back to the ridiculous idea of getting Vass for $350 and AE for $150 because it’s ridiculous and unrealistic, and it’s pretty dumb to suggest those are going prices for those shoes.

If you once saw a pair in some weird size and colour going for that price, it’s misleading to tout it all the time and suggest it’s the going price for them.

Thank you for posting this. I didn't want to say it, but I agree with you 100%.

I recently bought a pair of unused Cheaney for $80. I would never suggest it is the going price. I was very lucky finding the pair.

Yeah.... I have 13 pairs of shoes, all got in that kind of discount. Besides, it is the same if not easier to get deals on common size. Stores have way more stocks on common size.
It’s your purchase decision, but I will say this though, I am never ever going to pay $250 for a standard calf AE. Simply because it is so easy to find deal better than $250 AE.

Lol. Nobody goes to crowded restaurants, they’re just too full.

I've got a pair of PBJ denim bought from Dutil. Looking to get them tapered any shops to do this out west? I would like to avoid trekking down to downtown to Dutil for this.

You'll still have to trek downtown but I suggest Ben Viapiana over Dutil for any denim alterations.

Oh yeah? I don’t see it on their twitter account. Brick and mortar retail is pretty tough these days. Epaulet closed all their storefronts last year, for example.

Weirdly it was showing in my feed but not on their page. I suspected it had been quickly deleted so I took a screenshot...

Seems like it. Thought it was odd - figured someone here would have the inside scoop. They seemed to be one of the busier B&Ms whenever I visited.
