Thanks for letting me know. I'll just let this be an expensive lesson to always remember to request USPS.
What about CETA? Any word on how that will impact direct ordering?
So I finally got around to trying Chase and had the sleeves lengthened on two jackets. He did an excellent job at a fair price. Very pleased. In Mississauga I like using the services of The Chase Cleaners near Erin Mills. Surprisingly, the guy knows quite a bit about alterations. I'm impressed with his vast knowledge and he always does a good job at a fair price. He also lets me know if something isn't possible or if it will cost too much.
Hadn't heard of Kotn before, but I checked out their site and noticed something I have been trying to find for a while now - a pique knit cotton tshirt. Ill try to drop in there tomorrow and report back.
I like your Thread
Thanks that would be great if you can do that.
Apparently they work directly with sourcing Egyptian cotton in Egypt.
I came across them on a GQ article rating the best white tshirts.
I guess depends when you go but when I went a few weeks ago he had 20+ Boglioli all in a 38 and half dozen Tom Fords and Brunello. I find his prices higher than eBay and you really need to look things over for condition but you're right you can negotiate.I'm new here so I don't know how people here feel about Off the Cuff, but I want to share my experiences lest anyone else be allured.
Their stuff tends to be brand-named but not exceptionally high quality, you'll find a lot of fused hugo boss suits and that sort of thing.
The guys there are nice and bargaining does work, if you know what you're looking for go in there and look for it, otherwise they'll try to sell you all sorts of crap.
That said, I've gotten some really great stuff there for not very much money.
I stopped by Woolridge's yesterday around 5 and chatted with Ivor for a good half hour, didn't buy anything because I was on my way to an event last night. This guy knows the shoe business and how to properly fit shoes. I'm a size a 11 c on the Banrock device and I found out I was a 9.5 in a pair of Loake 1880 Chester Wingtip Brogues which I'm going to buy in the near future once he gets the mahogany colour in stock. Ivor is bringing in Cheaney shoes later on in the fall and I really hope he does well.
