I'm a regular at the C&J factory store ...i make it back to the UK once or twice a year (I'm here right now, in fact)....sizes and models are pot luck I'm afraid....i wish you the best in finding Islays but I've never seen them there...last year i picked up a pair of conistons for 200GBP ... i feel it pays to be open minded with respect to models when shopping in the CJ and Churches factory shops.

I've seen Conistons at the factory shop as well. Nick, the 365 last is a bit bulbous. You may actually prefer the 325 lasted Conistons. I own both and prefer the look of 325 although the 365 fits me better.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll try to try on the different lasts to see what works better.

I was just going to post that. Hmmph well that sucks. I wanted a pair of Loding's wholecuts but just pulled the trigger on some Carmina's yesterday. Was hoping to get the wholecuts in a few months but might have to bite in September now..

It's going to be peacoat season shortly. My Club Monaco one from 2 years ago doesn't fit and frankly it's not warm at all.

Where do you guys or did you guys get your Peacoats? Grey and Navy please!

I have a schott that I bought from a military surplus store. It's heavy as all hell and not slim but damn is it warm.

I don't usually shop on YOOX because it's often too much of a hodgepodge...but there are many excellent options to be found at attractive prices. I found a Luigi Bianchi Mantova mainline coat for $300. It fits perfectly and is warm enough for the trek to and from the office. My one recommendation would be a thick cashmere scarf, makes all the difference!

I eBayed a 1978 US Naval Coat last year. Was about $80 landed CAD. Took the sleeves up a bit, but left the body full. Pretty warm. I prefer longer jackets, but I dig this for a peacoat on the cheap that I wear dressed down, and basically out for errands.

Don't skimp on coats if you intend to wear it for dress or business. They last a long time and we get great use out of them. Said it a few times in this thread, my most worn piece of clothing is my wool overcoats. Almost everyday for 4-5 months between 3 coats. Planning on landing a grail coat this fall.

Thanks. I mainly wear my peacoat with both casual and "business casual" aka a button down shirt with a sweater over it, and dress pants in fall.

No need for an overcoat as I don't wear suits to work

My collection of decent work shoes is as follows: walnut half brogues, black half brogues, and oxblood captoe derbies.

What kind of thoughts do you guys have as to what I should do for my next pair?

I guess the missing mainstream colour is a darker brown. Missing styles that come to mind would be like wholecuts, wingtips / longwings, quarter brogues, monk straps.

Thanks.
