1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Since @suitforcourt brought us onto the talk of cobblers, do you fellow Toronto gents have any suggestions for a quality topy/rubber sole installation on a brand new pair of boots I just purchased.
From general browsing, I see there are quite a few mention's of "Nick's shoes" and I'm definitely not fully sure if I should just bring them to any cobbler. Any estimate on what I should expect in terms of total cost? I'm a bit nit picky but want to also use a top quality rubber and possibly a branded topy like a vibram sole.

Anyone order Enzo Bonafe from Skoak. How much did you get dinged when shipping by Canada Post?

That was my guess but I sought certitude on the matter.

Hi guys, not Leatherfoot. Once confirmed, I will provide full details. Not trying to be dodgey, but I don't have numbers yet. Thanks everyone.

What do people usually talk about at one of these things? Sorry never been so genuinely wondering.

I have never been either. I assume we will discuss our mutual fascination with clothes and shoes.

I also believe it's a good networking opportunity.

I sincerely hope it's not a continuation of work or home.

Quick Cobbler in Vancouver does it for 30.

Nicks in Toronto and Novelty do it as well, though I don't know their prices. I elected to try QC and Laurent Halimi in Montreal because none of the cobblers in Toronto use Joh Rendenbach soles.

Better brush up on Buddhism and Satanism then. From the posts, I figure those are the most popular religions here at SF.

I'm looking for a light rain coat that could be dressed up or down. Can't seem to come up with anything besides Arc'teryx Veilance which is ways above my budget (less than $400). Any suggestion?

I picked up a navy blue one at Harry Rosen outlet. 200 from Burberry and is extremely light. But long enough to cover a suit. Check out their inventory.
