Called as well, pricepoint for most AE's are $510-40% = $306 with 13% tax comes to $345.78. Decent deal?

I'd say it's a decent deal, given how cruddy our dollar has been.

Yeah, for first quality shoes with a return policy. With Carminas and Loakes priced around $200 higher, don't think you can do better.

I know that Nicolas in Yorkville has some MMM items but have never seen a 5 zip there.

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. The RBC location is open on Sundays throughout December.

I see no one has responded to this yet. There is a lot of text there and you're asking a few different questions, so perhaps nobody here felt able to answer all of them at once.

As most newcomers to the forum are told, your best friend is the search function and lots of reading. Doing that background work will lead you to some promising stores and brands, and away from others.

On the subject of suits and shirts in your range, I would recommend you have a look at Spier & Mackay. I've only purchased online from them but they have a physical store somewhere near the airport (Pearson). The quality, construction, and materials they use would normally justify much higher prices than they ask. The company is also an SF affiliate so you can learn a lot on their thread.

You've come to the right place to ask these questions, but you may need to be persistent (and thick skinned)!

Gents, I need to buy 3-5K US for my Vegas trip. Any preferred currency exchange places recommendations or I'm just wasting my time?

    thanks!

Definitely not a good time bud. The loonie just took another nose dive today.

Kantor currency exchange has always been very competitive in my book. They are located right by my house at Bloor & Runnymede in Bloor West Village.

Give them a call tomorrow and they might be able to knock off something if you are buying north of 5k.

Believe it or not, your bank. You're buying a significant amount, they may give you preferred rates.

Try Zenbanx for exchanges they're desperately drumming up business and there are some great deals on FOREX.

Bendix usually has good rates. I thought they were on Adelaide at Bay but looks like it is slightly further North
