Well, once upon a time many years back I took several semesters of Art...at college. And one of the sacred tenets of Art (as it was taught to me) is that an odd number of things is more beautiful and more harmonious than an even number.

    Just sayin'...

I was also just thinking about one of the tenets of flower arrangements is to use odd numbers.

There's a thread about these, but corthay also disagrees with you about the eyelets, as seen in their arca model And I'm not sure if we're only talking about dress shoes, but doc martens, Clarks DBs and many other popular casual shoes have even eyelets.. If style teaches us anything, it should be that there are no rules, only guidelines.

I can live with two, but not 4 or 6.....Again that's just me and not a rule.......call it OCD... Adrian

I'm pretty sure I'm unworthy to post in this thread, but it's easier and more symmetrical to straight-lace an even number of eyelets.

Ahhh, and I almost forgot they will not have the major flaw yours have [IMG] , they will have five eyelets. Yous should know that eyelets should only come in uneven numbers....[IMG]

Just when I thought Tony and Dean had lost it... that's a beautiful shoe Luk-Cha... enjoy those freaks. I wondered when a seamless balmoral would be made... now, if I could stick your black diamond cap together with this... J
