Boring black.

As requested by luk-cha. New vs old.

I dunno. You're right they both look the same more or less. If you think about it and are talking to them you might ask if they were using Crack's baby calf. I'd be interested...just for curiousity's sake.

The oxfords have a certain understated grace about them.

Well, I could probably do that.

Here's a photo of a pair of derbies I made out of mouse scrotum--

I don't have a before and after. I thought about it at the time but got lazy.

To get the repaired crack to show up clearly on photography requires effort. Hence the absence of pictures. I'll try to get to it when I have the time.

Talkin' about exotic leathers in a totally different scale (vs mouse scrotum), I've seen a pair made by Guild of Crafts in whale penis. Seemed very sturdy, with a rough texture. (apparently not available anymore...)

Problem is you could only by them in size 5....

Let Isabella Rossellini demonstrate you the size of a whale penis:

Amazing how she looks just *************** in Casablanca.

The video is hilariously bizarre.

I'm thinking about next bespoke project, now a seamless wholecut with or without medallion.
What do you guys think about impala leather for a wholecut?
I was impressed by the structure of it, what about durability, maintenance?
Or I better stick to calf?

You might want to talk to your shoemaker!

A seamless whole-cut involves a great deal of manipulations of the wet leather. Not every leather is equally suited to that task.

Even without seamless heels, I think Impala would look beautiful as a simple wholecut.
Personally I think natural grain/textured hides looks way better than artificially textured calfskin... such as the 'Impala Calf' (shrunken calfskin with textures that resembles impala)
