    Thank you.

Yes two rows of stitching for the balmoral seam (as well as on the toe caps and facings), but no they are not seamless rear.

once again DELOS nailed the footbed and arch support.

Amazing shoes! Unfortunately he is no longer offering his artisanship to bespoke customers. :(

    Thank you.

The DELOS team is intact and they are still making shoes in the Loire Valley, but agree from a customer perspective it is a bit sad that he is no longer independent. That said from what I've my gleaned from conversations with him and from what I've seen of Berluti's bespoke it appears to be good for him. Also, perhaps it is a mistake to conclude that because it is part of LVMH the quality and craft is diluted (i'm guilty of this as well). The main workshop is in Paris and the samples and photos I've seen appear to be at the same level as other Parisian bespoke shoemakers. Yes, many customer pick styles from the rtw line, but I saw traditional styles as well as classics with a twist similar to what Anthony was doing (there is one in particular that I'm considering so long as I can use my DELOS last).

Is it still possible work with Delos? I asked Berluti last year about him and they were very defensive.

    Thank you gentlemen.

    Poorsod,

Not sure if it is possible for a new customer to specifically request the DELOS team as they are now part of the Berluti team.

In fact while I understand that I can use my lasts, not sure if DELOS and his team will make or the Paris workshop.

I know that they're opening a 3rd store in Paris on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in September (and I think I read somewhere that Anthony will be working from there, but that was a few months ago so..). It doesn't hurt to ask again as perhaps they have a better idea now of how it will work...

One + is that I now know how to tie the Berluti knot!

When I was at Berluti in the fall, I was quite annoyed by their attitude and service. I get so much better and prompt service from Tony G that I am going to hold off from Berluti and see if their service gets any better. It seemed that they were more geared towards RTW than bespoke. The Berluti staff gave me the run around for a few days and I can't see how a potential bespoke customer could tolerate that.

agree boutique staff seemed geared towards rtw, but for bespoke from what I've seen you pretty much interact with a different group of people who were professional and friendly with me. again, i think a new customer asking to deal with Anthony (rather than just asking to make an appointment for bespoke) might not be received well. boutique sales staff probably had no idea what to tell you at that time...
