1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Sorry if the pictures didn't turn out so well. I will try to do it better for the Volume 2.

How many people on this forum have contemplated learning Japanese on account of these magazines? PS: Cusey, you dont count, I asked contemplated learning, not "learnt". [IMG]

What's the brand in those pictures with all the models named after Italian artists? I have to say I love the naming theme, though it hurts to see poor Pontormo and Titian relegated to ugly monkstraps, while Botticelli gets the nice looking pair.

The brand/maker is Enzo Bonafe. The maker's name is usually on the top right corner of that page.

I believe Peter Elliot will be carrying Stefano Bemer. Saw some at their store over the weekend. Pretty nice.

He (Bemer) seems to get a lot of love from the Japanese shoe mags, anyone know why?

Seems like a lot of the Florentine shoemakers have a great many japanese clients.  I think it's probably in combination with the sight-seeing...
