1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Its made by Jack Spade (but then again all grenadine comes from the same 2 mills). In regards to color, Its closest to the Bitter Chocolate color from Sam Hober.

    :facepalm:

    ill let others weigh in.

    but a Jack Spade tie for a YHN just doesnt sound like a fair trade to me. They sell jack spade ties at the Marshalls by my house for $39. If others disagree with me, then i will gladly admit my standards are too high... unless this is a 6 fold grenadine.....

    shoes. step it up. now. anything that is not top shelf does not belong in the box. if you are unsure if its top shelf, its not.

    Even assuming grenadine was/is a panty dropper (see stitchy's post below), by way of example:

    Lauren Ralph Lauren jacket made of Loro Piana fabric ≠ Ralph Lauren Purple Label jacket made of Loro Piana fabric

    just as

    Jack Spade grenadine tie ≠ E.G. Cappelli grenadine tie

    grenadine is not the be all end all of ties. it has no cashe. thats of prime importance. no one wants to get a box full of ties you can score all day for 50 bucks on the bay, or NMLC, or marshalls. this is not supposed to be a box of nice ties. its supposed to be a box of excellent ties.

    let me put it bluntly.

    this box is not an opportunity to get nice free ties that one otherwise would not be able to get, in exchange for something pretty sitting in your drawer that you never wear. this box is about putting in a top tier tie that you LOVE, but maybe maybe would part with for something you equally love, or love more, that is new to you.

    anyone who does not have the goods, or isnt willing to part with them, there is no shame in that. but dont hold up the box. bring your A game, or watch. i will be 100% honest, if i get the box, and i feel that what i have to offer is not up to snuff, i will just pass it on. its not fair to others.

    this should be the mantra of the swap box. Lets get this printed and stick it in the box so we can all be reminded.

    If it doesnt hurt to get rid of the tie youre putting in....the tie isnt good enough.

    Out of curiosity, what's the country of origin on the Jack Spade grenadine?

    And this my friends, is why I suggested that we post our suggested contributions prior to sending the box around.

    Sigh.
