I am pleased to say that TitC has been updated today with an article on large, brown cigarettes.

Seven months in the making, this comprehensive survey of the what is best called the Art of Tobacco will educate and entertain you...and mortify physicians.

You just have to make sure the ash doesn't fall on your clothes (note: it brushes off a fine worsted more easily than a rustic tweed).


Sound advice, as now I will smoke only wearing the finest of worsted wools...

I wasn't kidding. Tweed + cigar ash = f*cked.

Because the cloth is more porous and textured, ash particles stay embedded even after a good brushing. With a hard-finished, smooth worsted, the stuff comes right off.

you should do an ash test on various fabrics. Fresco's, cotton etc etc. Too bad we can't get a hold of some Olde World garbadine.
