Except that in college, VY developed into a much better runner and passer. Look at the numbers. Seriously - how many plays longer than 20 yards has Tebow keyed, minus Harvin YAC. Tebow doesn't possess VY's big play-making ability.

Troy Smith was also a better college passer than Tebow. I just don't see it with Tebow, it's all system and running in TDs from 3 yards out.

Unlike VY though, Tebow has a good head on his shoulders. Young may have all the talent in the world but that can't help him if he can't handle the pressure of playing in the NFL.

Tebow is a winner and that's worth something to me.

Tebow has never led his team to an undefeated season, something VY did do. And unlike Tebow, VY actually was the best player on his offense. It's a poor comaprison.

Tebow's lost 5 games as a starter in his career, VY has lost I think 2.

Tebow is the best player on his offense. Do I need to post his stats from last season?

Go ahead, and then post Florida's record. Harvin is obviously the best player on the offense, and Hernandez is better than Tebow as well.

Dude, I'm sorry, but this is just an ignorant statement. Tebow completed 64% of his passes, with 30 TDs vs 4 INTs in a crazy tough conference. Add to that 12 rushing TDs. The guy puts up video game numbers.

Harvin caught 7 TDs and rushed for 10. Fantastic numbers, yes, but Tebow's are better.

wasn't tebow trying to become a preacher of some sort rather than go pro? my roommate said something along those lines during the game last night, but i took it with a grain of salt.

ah, he can wait 13 years when he retires to become a preacher and inevitably, a GOP congressman.

Fine. We'll see where Tim gets drafted, and then see if it's anywhere near where VY was and where Harvin and Hernandez will be drafted. Tebow's numbers are system numbers, and he stole his rushing TDs from the fullback. Check out the University of Houston's QB numbers - he's the greatest QB evar!

I'm not sure how Tebow's long throwing motion and somewhat wobbly spiral will do in the NFL, but I'm sure not going to bet against him. I also can't figure out where the idea that he can't throw came from. If you watched the game last night he converted an unreal number of 3rd down conversions, about 1/2 with his arm. He threw bullets to guys. Yes he threw two INT's, one of them terrible - that makes a whopping total of 4 for the year.

Tebow isn't the best NFL prospect on that team, but so what? Why does that serve to denigrate the kid's accomplishments?

As for the haters out there, find another kid who puts up the numbers he does, is an honors student, and in virtually every other moment of his spare time is out doing some sort of community service, whether it be preaching, visiting kids in the hospital, etc.? You may not like Florida, and you may think Tebow gets too much attention on the team (I agree the MVP last night should have been Harvin) but what can you hate about what he is doing with his life?

Apparently that he didn't go to UT or a Big Eleven school.
