Does anyone know of a place that sells dress socks on the cheap like the tie bar does? I have some tie bar ties and they are fine just to kick around in, looking for something similar (IE lots of colors that I can coordinate with my ties)

Really? I was thinking about getting some of their silk knits or wool ties...

What makes them unwearable? Can you compare them to the quality of another brand we may all be familiar with? Are they at least worth the 15 bucks? Thats quite cheap for a tie.

Tie Bar ties SUCK! I wasted $30.00 buying 2 of them. What a disgrace.

I like Tie Bar's pocket squares, which are like $8. I'm a flat-fold kind of guy so I don't really care that the edges are machine-sewn.

1. cheap materials.
2. skinny ties too skinny.
3. horrible, ugly tie knot.
4. most importantly, I've never worn them since buying them. They are just not good enough. It's like buying an ill-fitting polyester suit for $20. Although it's very cheap for a suit, you still won't wear it, so it's $20 wasted.

I strongly advise against any products from thetiebar.com.

You had me at "skinny ties too skinny." I will avoid these.

I haven't tried their ties...the prices did seem too good to be true, so I'm glad I read this and didn't waste any of my money. I did buy some tie bars from them however, and I'm satisfied with those.

I have a tie bar tie that I like a lot. It ties a fantastic four-in-hand and dimples itself nicely.
