I checked my closet earlier, and one of my three button suits wasn't moving. I didn't hear any breathing either, even from the fresco! What should I do? Are they dead?

Quick! Lay the suit down on a flat surface, button it carefully and start cardiac massage. There might still be some life left in the old chap.

Unfortunately, your suit is dead. Feel free to cut it up and show us the insides.

It has never died! Basketball players everywhere are still wearing them. Wall Street is next.

Crap!!! I just had my tailor start cutting a 3-button suit. Gotta call him before the scissors hit the cloth. HAHAHA

    Well actually it's a 3/2, so I guess I should be safe.

I still think of a 3-button suit as a standard suit. When I started wearing suits, 3-button suits were just coming (in the early 90s) and 2-buttons were seen as old-fashioned. I still have some issues with 2-button suits, even if they are now as ubiquitous as 3-button suits were in the mid-nineties.

damn, you have to have a torso like a frickin' centipede to wear that thing. I'm sure it's great if 2 kids want to stand on top of each other to sneak into a club

It's funny because with that bulge in the stomach area, it does look like two kids standing on top of one another. [IMG]

    A much-appreciated, timely response.

Someone asked me if three buttons were coming back?

A: They are if I say they are.

Whilst I strongly prefer 2 button suits, I have a very nice 2.5 button suit that I adore. High cut 3 buttons are out of style; balance 3 and 2.5 button suits look normal to me

I'm very much a fan of it, it stands out from all the two buttons. Here's my 3 button jacket by Louis Copeland.
