I have a certain admiration for #menswear and other lifestyle blogs, I couldn't blog about the same shit again and again and again days after days (no hate). It requires a focus that I clearly don't possess.

Same goes for the purely visual blogs, I tried several times, it's fun for a short while but gets tedious real quick, I could never stick with it. I still update those now and then but I don't know how ppl posting hundreds of posts a day do.

    Anyway, #respek

But what if I find a well curated capsule collection that's killing it?

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

Now for something that really matters, someone help me with my very important tumblr problem

I'm being nice so I'll give you advice free of snark. The MC Casual thread is not very good in general and really, really, not good for anyone under 30. You want SW&D.
BUT you first want to stop posting pictures, stop blogging, and lurk. Read through a few hundred pages of SW&D WAYWT and then go to the pictures only thread. Read through the blogs linked here, get a sense of how people do it well (and yet still suck) and realize you aren't even at their level.
I'm not trying to be an ass, your learning and trying, but your look is. . . . not great. Learn some basics. Just absorb some information. Also, never mention your mom giving you basic advice.

    Just my 2 cents.

I was expecting to see him and another dude walk back in the frame to pick up their coffees.

The video is completely pointless - it is not instructive, it is him pouring fucking hot water into a coffee press, then pressing at four mins. It's completely unnecessary as a supplement to the (unnecessarily overcomplicated - but that's another story) instructions for making "simple coffee".

This is freaking coffee in a press. It's not rocket science, and most people figure out their own methods for how they like it best But whatever, i don't care about that.

The point is that the video is so unnecessary with so little substance. If you wanna do an arty video at least don't pretend that it's in some way instructional. Go and film a paper bag in black and white or something. Don't pretend that your video is anything other than your avenue for practising your film making.

It actually was pretty informative for me. He used a hario kettle to control the pour over the time which he showed, then backed off, stirred, then poured to bloom more and waited.

isn't this more easily and quickly summed up as you've just done then through that video?

I mean, I could post a video of me taking a shit then wiping 3-6 times depending upon the amount of fibre i've eating in the last 24hrs, but I trust that most people can read...

Yes but unlike your dookie (which would be more pleasurial to look at than a noobizor fit/post) the video was a nice relaxing and enjoying medium through which to illustrate the actual process.

This is a pretty cool tumblr from the clothing wizards at land's end: http://the-compass.tumblr.com . They hit on all the important topics, like how their "Donegal is killin it this season."
