1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Alpha M has a real following. I've seen him recommended on other forums.

I like how he manages to offer nothing of actual value at every price point ("my undying gratitude"). Also like how he limited the number of people allowed for higher priced pledges, as if he has to curb the incoming tide of people whose lives can't be complete without him.

Such as? Some of his recommendations aren't bad. He does touch on some good points which the average guy would appreciate. Of course not on this forum however.

I feel like the frequency which your name appears in the credits should decrease with a bigger donation.

That would be really funny, and it's tempting to think you would rip him apart or set him straight, all for our entertainment, but my more principled side has to say no. I know you're joking (5)? but if you would actually consider this, let me say: don't. You can't/shouldn't do anything to amplify the voice of people like this, nor should you put yourself in a position where it looks like he is one of two viewpoints getting equal time. It would be like when Bill Nye debated that creation museum dude. It just makes it look like there is more value to his opinion then there really is when you place them side by side and pretend like the subject is up for debate. I think the term commonly used is "false binary."

In other words you have science on your side and this guy thinks he is a god who can intelligently design a stylish person. He needs to just be ignored.

Are you really equating styleforum fashion vs mainstream fashion to evolution vs creationism?

He was a contestant in Fear Factor. From there he had a vision...what if he could style an average joe into a sexy fashionable man. The rest is history.

About to donate $2k for the worthy cause!

He will throw out your TOJ leather and take you shopping at Macy's to buy a Guess/Diesel brand one. He will also take you to his tailor from the Jersey Shore to make sure all your shirts have the most muscular of muscle fits.

They don't seem to know the difference between selvedge and raw denim.
