It is not common to take any measurements when marking RTW to alterations. Some tailors use pins to mark the work to be done and some use only chalk. There is nothing unusual about your experience

This is not a big deal and a little tweak or two can be expected on any garment.

You have prominent blades that create a hollow spot between them. That is where you get this roll of cloth under your neck. You need more fullness over the blades and some iron work to shape this area. The back shoulders may need to be squared a bit, can't tell for sure. They may have lengthened the back at the top to make the back drape over your blades and the back shoulder may be sloped a bit too much. Sleeve pitch is fine but the sleeve cap looks long for the armhole, may need trimming.
next time you meet with Chan, they will see the jacket and fix it for you.

Trouser is too long on the back rise and you get all those wrinkles along the back of your thighs.

Wanted to get some more feedback on what should be addressed when
I bring it in to get altered. originally picked up a 38S but then exchanged
    for a 38R.
    - Which looks better 38S or 38R?
    - How does the shoulders look?
    - What is causing the wrinkles in the back up the trousers (see image 2C)

List of Items to alter: (that I see)
    - let out the waist of the jacket
    - shorten trouser length
    - shorten sleeve length

    - anything else?

    Here are just the trousers:
    - the seat seems pretty tight, is it possible to let that out a bit to loosen
    it up? (see image 3C)

All of the above. Trouser is tight in the seat and crotch. I doubt there is enough outlet to make it right but your tailor can check and advise you. Trouser with a fuller thigh/leg would be better for you.

Have you tried on other brands and different style of suits? Might be worth your time to do so.

    Hi everyone,

I just purchased a Zaharoff suit from eBay and wanted a quick opinion on the jacket. This is my first real suit (I'm more of a S&D guy) and I was following some advice on GQ for a slim suit. I feel the suit fits rather well, but I am getting some bunching in the upper back area. Is there a remedy for this or is the jacket just too tight/small?

The picture sucks, but it was a quick pic from my cell phone. I don't want to bother taking better pics of the suit fit overall if the jacket is just simply too small. I will take more quality pictures of the entire ensemble if this problem can be remedied.

The sleeves are currently unfinished in this shot and I am standing with normal posture and the suit is buttoned.

IMO, that suit looks too small...almost looks painted on.

A pic from the front would be useful. It's a bit tight across the upper back but from what I can see it fits pretty well for RTW.

mrala, it does not fit. The lapels are gapping, bowed out, suggesting it's too tight through the chest.

That or because the photo was snapped so far away, the lapels may just need shortening.

Can you snap a pic that's a little closer?

Yeah, the size is too small or possibly the shoulder would need to be taken out. Is the collar of the jacket adhering to the shirt collar?
