I believe it is in that poorly drawn circle above, which is my right side.

I don't mind too much either way, but I was just curious. I'm more concerned about why it looks so bad. I'm wondering if maybe I just look bad in suits because my shoulders are too narrow.

Do you not realise how mirrors work?

    don't touch it.
    the suit looks great.
i will assume that it is some sort of linen blend. this type of suit should be a little more relaxed and not to tight.
if the pants are too tigh, you risk the chance of graining at the seams. this is when the weave separates slightly due to the fact that these fibers
are not woven as densely as wool

Thank you! Regarding the suit, it's a Cotton/silk blend from Boglioli.

My guess is you want a more defined, sharper look to the suit but this suit isn't meant to be that type of suit. Altering the fit won't get you there either. This silhouette is meant to be a soft shoulder, relaxed look. It is a casual cloth in a casual cut and you cannot nor should you try to change the silhouette. It's the DNA of the suit.
The trouser may fit a bit loose in the upper thigh/ seat area but if you trim the trouser too much you lose any proportion/line between the jacket and the trouser. The style and fit here doesn't make you look older, just laid back.

Thank you both for your input. I really enjoy the soft tailoring of Boglioli, so it's definately not a "sharp and modern" suit I'm after. It's more of it perhaps making me look, well, a bit old and fat. But I won't argue with a world class tailor and a fantastic shirtmaker! I'm probably just too self conscious and hoping to acheive the fit of Bogliolis own lookbooks.

I really feel I have the same issue with these two jackets as well

I'm certain that I'll should shorten the sleeves, but other than that I feel that it's just too straight without highlithing the waist in any way, making me look a lot fatter than I am.

I feel that both jackets could be taken in in the back and waist region, to accentuate the shape of the torso a bit more.

I appreciate any input you can give me, and I apologize for the extremely long post.

    Thank you in advance.

The tailor should know what to do, although the client should always confirm what will be done. The unmentioned problem is that the cut isn't very flattering. A stronger shoulder would look better and make the suit (on you) more appropriate for a conservative industry. The color is fine.

    Can a tailor possibly critique?

Looks OK to me but the camera angle may not render an accurate view. If you shorten the jacket more, it is getting close to throwing the look off considering the distance of the pockets to the hem.

just received my macys bar III suit in the mail. I tried on the bar iii
suits they had in store and the 38S & 34x32 trousers were perfect,
however because they didn't have the color I wanted I ordered it.
    - it seems as though this suit was made with different measurements
but wanted to get some input with it.

    - if the suit jacket is too small around the waist is it possible to let
it out a little or should I exchange and get a 40S, then have it taken
in? I am afraid that the 40S might be too wide in the shoulders.

    any feedback would be appreciated!

Beginner, trying to spruce up my work wear. This jacket feels a bit big on me. Wondering if this is something I can get tailored to look good or should just return. Thanks for any feedback.

that one is already slightly too wide in the shoulders ( you can see divots) I dont think a 40 will work...but the midsection can be let out a certain amount
