So I've never found a suit that's fit me. Generally I don't wear them much cause I'm in a creative field, so I've mostly done Theory, Club Monaco, J.Crew, the like on sale. I'm also 5'110 44 R /36 W, so usually clothing isnt fit really to fit my proportions. But I like a nice blazer. So I tried MTM and got a suit made from Black Lapel (on pretty nice discount!). It's a Blue Glen Plaid.

I personally like the jacket, just for the sake that its the first jacket that lies flat against my chest AND fits in the shoulders. The pants were not bad but sort of strange with this weird ripple in the front. They remade them and they still had the ripple but the drape was better. I wore the suit to one wedding (cause I was out of options and didnt have time to fix) and am now ready to take the suit to a tailor. What can I tell them to do to improve the pants? And what are your thoughts on the jacket?

Bonus: have some Epaulet pants. Want to know if how to make the pleats sit a little more flattering. I imagine take the seat and waist out?

The checkered pants are much too slim overall, in particular at the thighs. The pleats are basically ripped open. There is no way pants can drape when too slim.

The suit trousers are still somewhat too slim in the upper leg to drape cleanly. You seem to have x-bow legs, I fear that you would have to go to a real tailor to get an optimal fit.

Can't comment on the jacket with these selfies (you need somebody else to take these photos), but it seems wearable.

Alright! Guess I'll take the pants to my tailor and see if he can let out the thighs, waist, etc. I don't have bowlegs though, not to my knowledge (lol).

I forgot I have some photos of when I went to the wedding and my fitting. The pants I'm wearing are not the originals here, btw. Unfortunately, none straight on with hands not in pocket.

Nice fit.
I would not really look to change much.

Me? I like a little more length on my trousers. But if you like it like that, don't touch it.

I totally agree. I'd like the leg opening a touch wider and the inseam a little longer.

Looking really good. I like the cut and it fits you well. Who made it?

Thank you. ...Kent Wang

P.S. I'm aware that the shirt's fit is off. Getting better fitting shirts is on my to do list.

Trousers are too tight in the seat and thighs. I wouldn't buy it.

The trousers look like they have extra fabric to let out the seat. It doesn't look like there's as much to room in the thighs. Would it be worth asking my tailor if they can be fixed within the limits available?

Have never posted in this thread, but I was wondering if any tailors could give me an opinion on if I should bring the suit jacket up a touch. I know it looks as though the sleeves are long but that is partially because of the rollneck I am wearing, not because of longer sleeves.

Would like som feedback on my first MTM suit. It's from Suitsupply and the guy who helped me thought it looked good without any adjustments... I think the back need to be cleaned, sleeves shortened and also there's some bunching on the back of the pants... All alteration suggestions are appreciated.

You are correct about the back. But I doubt the bunching on the pants can be fixed since they are too tight from top to bottom. They are bunching in the seat and hugging your calves.

Suit supply RTW Lazio generally fits me well, but the pants are too tight in the seat. This is a 38 with some tailoring:

- fixed a collar roll
- tapering the legs
- let out the seat 0.5” (no more allowance)

For the next pair I’ll have to buy a mix and match product, and get larger pants, but wasn’t an option with this cut. Are the pants too tight in the seat to even be wearing out in public ?

I wouldn't wear them with all that wrinkling showing under the bottom of the jacket. And it looks like they will probably rip open if you sit down.
