Looks like Junior Brown playing double neck guitar on the Wanda Jackson video

Do you listen to Ray Bryant? He has solo work and plays with a lot of great artists.
His band backed up Aretha Franklin on her first LP when she was 17

Good eye! I didn't know that was Junior Brown.

Love Ray Bryant. I originally got into soul, blues, jazz, and funk through hip hop since all those artists were just sampling tunes from records. This Ray Bryant song was sampled a lot.

Some artists inspire you to pick up an instrument and write a song, David Berman made you want to put it back down because you were never going to write anything that ******* good in a 100 lifetimes

Man I hadn't gotten around to checking out the Purple Mountain release till this weekend ...unfortunately because I was reminded by the news. I've always been partial to the debut Joos record but this one ranks up there, just great songs and clearly he wasn't ever planning on going on tour.

I love their surfy, afrobeat, 60s movie soundtrack-y sound. Plus, they clearly coordinated outfits for that show. Extra bonus points in my book. @verver
