My coworker went to his show last night at the El Rey. I was invited but I can't really handle going to late night weeknight shows at my advanced age :violin:

You are correct. Late night weekday’s are much better.

I was thinking of going to his show at Great American next week. Yeah, midweek events can be tough, but sometimes it's the best thing you can do. I already have tix for Anderson Paak and Chromatics. So, maybe not.

This is so silky smooth. Perfect for a dreary Boston spring.

@Superb0bo That 6-stringed fretted violin (viola?) thing is wonderful. Wow. Great stuff. The church providing some good reverb atmosphere too.

Very tangentially related I ran across this early Spiritualized session on MTV from 92. I get it now.

Agree! no idea about what Savall is playing there, but he is famous for the "viola de gamba" (which that is not)

This concert is wonderful (better than the one I posted originally). Here he plays some archaic string instrument with a striking sound.

I think freaky folk era Marc tends to get overlooked.

Just ran across this. Shlohmo / The End. It sounds like "chillpocalypse".

Against the clock. Is that a Needles Rebuild?
