I am going to get someone to put together a Spotify list for SWD with the theme of just a chill evening listening to music and hanging out. Anyone interested?

I know this band was one of the first ones I posted in this thread, but just saw them last night and was one of the best shows I've been to in awhile

ASAP Rocky and his crew are not TDE although Rocky has a few songs with those guys.

as far as hip-hop goes i've been listening to ASAP Rocky and Kendrick way too much this year. I feel like not much else has been all that impressive.

The new Hit-Boy mixtape, HS87 - All I've Ever Dreamed Of, is actually not bad. The beats alone make it worth a listen or 2.

Mount Kimbie isn't something I typically listen to but they are really, really good live.

Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Freddie Gibbs and Danny Brown are good recs.
You should also check out El-P and Killer Mike's albums from last year.

Here's what i've been listening to lately:

John Twells is the owner of Type Records (great label) and this was from his last solo release. 15 minutes of beautiful energy / noise / loops. Really best on headphones and late at night.

Lee Noble is one of my favourite people releasing music just now - seems to be heavily involved in the tape drone stuff and has things out on Bridgetown records (cool label in the US!). This is from his split with Sparkling Wide Pressure and is lots of happy-but-sad drones / noise with some dreamy vocals and will generally make you feel nostalgic for whatever (if this is your type of thing).

My highlight from the most recent Grouper release on Kranky. I think they're essentially b-sides from Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill era. Apparently this is almost an early version of what became the track called A Lie on her double album. More sad.
