pulled the trigger on the White Kangaroo! Really tough decision between that and White Calf...and buying 3 other pairs.

In my case, I will do it but in some non-so-visible part of the leather. If the results are good, which I expect, I will apply it. As well as applying my médaille d'or crème pommadier in tan (I picked anticato sienna, which is more similar to tan than the anticato tan lol) and eventually also pâte de luxe in tan. Depending on how it reacts, why shouldn't I increase the patina with the whole treatment? :D

Cheers
Adriano, our craftsman, uses Saphir for the anticato. Never had a problem. @CWV @dhoff10

We also have a choice... there are a number of community designed products we want to do next, incorporating all our learnings from this one to ensure a smoother, faster process.

We can do two, maybe three at a time simultaneously.

Thus far, we have had talks to do the following for the community-designed classics:

- Leather Briefcase - Leather Bags - Handmade in Italy (starting from Jules)
- SF-02 Slip-On - Sneakers - Handmade in Italy
- Wholecut Oxford - Handwelted Dress Shoes - Handmade in Italy
- Cordovan Leather Jumper Boot - Handwelted Dress Shoes - Handmade in Italy
- Richard James x Archibald Modern Trench - Coats - Handmade in England
- The World's Best T-Shirt Part 2: Community Edition - Clothing - Handmade in Italy * (We did England for the RJ T shirt)
- Boxer Pants - Underclothing - Handmade in Italy or Portugal
- Corgi Knitwear Jumper - Knitwear - Knitted in Wales
- Cashmere Club Crew - Knitwear - Knitted in Italy
- Leather Portfolio - Leather Bags - Handmade in Italy
- Small Leather Accessories - Small Leather Goods - Handmade in Ubrique, Spain
- Sunglasses w/ Performance Polarized Lenses (3 Designs) - Eyewear - Handmade in Japan
- Cotton Polo Shirts - Clothing - Italy or Portugal
- Contemporary Shearling Coats - Jackets and Coats -

and any other suggestions...

So I guess we'd like to somehow decide what next? Any thoughts?

haha if everyone sends through suggestions, I will make a full list and start a poll and we can do the top three ones from different workshops and then make our way through it together... The only rule is one item developed at a time from a given workshop.

Adding a couple other ideas I think could be a great fit:

- Leather side-zip boot
- Contemporary shawl cardigan (equivalent to Drake's/The Armoury)

1. I basically really want high quality knitwear with short/tall options or adjustable lengths.

2. A tweed balmacaan if included in the handmade in England coats section.

3. Shoes: loafers, oxfords, maybe a Chelsea or side up.

Some suggestions:
Fine merino wool crew necks in textured knits:
Cotton calf length sock packs in standard colours (black, taupe, dark blue)
Lightweight summer bombers in glen checks etc.

I love the idea of a shawl collar sweater, however I’d be more partial to a pullover shawl collar wool sweater.

The leather bags are an interesting idea as well.

Of course, you’ve got my attention with the mention of a shell jumper boot. Obviously, the color and style of the boot are key.
I’ll keep my eye on this thread to make sure I don’t miss whatever you come up with.

I think I was the guy to suggest the trench and I love the idea so much. At the same time, I see a lot of products I would love to see becoming reality. The cordovan jumper boot makes me drool.

Great stuff Rohan, really great stuff! Cheers!

I’d love to see
sunglasses
shawl collar wool cardigan in half cardigan stitch
sneakers in more narrow widths

Met with Adriano in Modena yesterday for a first glance at the production order. Meeting him again all over this and next week in his workshop in Mirandola to follow closely the start of the production. Ready to start!

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
