You skipped my question. I’d like to know please
Sorry I missed that part! We offer returns and exchange. For delivery I have to check again with our logistic but it should be around $25/$30 DHL express (up to 3 days delivery).

Hi SF community,

We’re back, and we’ve got some pretty exciting news. We’ve been quite the obsessive sneakerheads for some time, and we’ve wanted to create the ultimate classic Italian leather sneakers for just as long. We’ve been tinkering with our own design for some time (making mistakes along the way) and have gone through four different versions, building on each and finessing details in the stitching, shape and more.

Then, it occurred to us that we couldn’t possibly create the ultimate sneaker all on our own. We decided we needed some help, and where better to get it than the community which is most passionate about ultra-high quality, with an intimate knowledge of iconic luxury products?

We’ve had a chat with Fok and Arianna from Styleforum, and we would like to create a sneaker made in complete collaboration with the community, which we sell to the community at cost of production. We estimate that would be $128 dollars, for a hand-cut, handmade Italian leather sneaker (to clarify: our sneakers use hand cut leather, they are mounted by hand, and stitched by a hand-operated machine). It would be available exclusively to Styleforum users, and if we were ever to sell subsequent runs to people outside the community it would be through our standard pricing model and cost $200. Here’s how it will work in practice:

  1. We can either start with our current sneaker silhouette, the V4 Ghirlandina, or create an entirely new silhouette from scratch. We’ll share a survey with you to collect more specific information on every detail of the shoe: the design, the colours, the materials, stitching and more.
  2. We’ll then share the results of your feedback in the forum for open discussion and feedback, which we’ll also take into account as part of the research and design phase.
  3. Our trusted craftsmen in Italy will create 3-5 samples of the sneaker which we’ll share on the forum through photos and videos for any final thoughts and feedback.
  4. Pre-orders will open up for all 3-5 sample designs, and we’ll take it from there!

We’re excited to get the ball rolling, and nothing is set in stone in our mind. This is a collaboration between us and you, so if you think the process could be improved or had any other suggestions feel free to share them. We’ll post the survey as soon as it’s ready and look forward to making something special with you all.

We're almost live with the survey! If everything goes to plan we'll get the survey live Wednesday next week. We'll post the questionnaire link both in this and in a new thread, where we will share the results of your feedback for open discussions and feedback.

Our craftsmen in Italy will then create the 3-5 samples of the sneakers that you favoured, we’ll share on the forum the photos and the videos for any thoughts and, at last, we'll finally open up for pre-orders!

We'll see how quickly we get the responses from the survey; if it's live next week we could give a couple of weeks for people to vote (or less?), then sampling (40 days), discussing (around 10 days), pre-orders (maybe 1 week?) and final production (40 days). Hence, around mid-January the customers could have the sneakers ready in their hands. These dates are all approximate, we might finish earlier or later depending on how the survey goes.

Will these be available in a 3E width? I cannot find any sneakers in a proper width for my foot anywhere.

Hi, our sneakers usually run in a 2E/3E width, that's why we normally suggest our customers order a 1/2 size up from their standard sneaker sizing for brands like Nike; after the survey though we'll have a discussion on the thread and, depending on what comes out of that, we could potentially develop a wider or narrower shoe. If you don't mind me asking, what is your shoe size?

Hi,

The project is awesome for those who wants a perfect sneaker. For myself, most sneakers in the market is awkward, e.g.low quality, poor design, looks as same thing.

I like the John lobb's Levah and the Loro Piana' suede sneaker which has the best design, materials and comfort. Leavh has a very distinguish sole which is not commonly used on other brand's sneakers, and it is a unusual half dressed sneaker. LP makes the same color of sole and leather, shape is great, suede is very well quality.

Just give some advice for reference. Hope you could design and made awesome sneakers for gentlemens here. Thank you.

That is great! I wear a 10.5 3E in Allen Edmonds. They only have the option to remove the insert on their sneakers though. I tried an 11 E (after insert removal) and it went very poorly.
