Does 450 gbp get you Vass and Enzo Bonafe in U.K. (not familiar with the post VAT price)?
It may cetainly get you a pair of Vass, if you buying them in the sale that they have been running for the last several months. I have bought a couple of pairs myself! Although I think that Vass will retail price is a bit more, but not a lot.

We have made great progress with the finishing since the recent production management personel changes that have been made.

This is not to say its perfect and we wont make errors but a pandemic shouldnt be a reason for the occurence of them particularly when we know the nature of the beast and some of these things (the colour on your pair twice) were the result of blatant carelessness by a member of our team. It is also why we are doing a massive clean up and resetting some other administrative mistakes (including very unfortunately miscalculations on sale prices). We are rebuilding the team to ensure these aren't repeated.

Finally, the cost isnt really a consideration at this stage. We are losing on every shoe delivered looking to establish an idea and we will continue to lose till we can achieve the level we are looking for. So losing a little more is inconsequential if it gets us to the end goal faster.

I am giving us another two months and from there we might have to make a big decision or maybe call it quits, let's see.

Ah you were the nail guy! I am so sorry we had a big drama when that happened and I am so sorry for it cutting your foot. Totally unacceptable.

I actually have a question for anyone with experience with handwelted shoes, the small hole in the sole, what is it? Is it because its being held by a clamp or has it got soemthing to do with the construction of these?

I’ve seen people toss the £450 number around. Is that ex vat or inc vat?
it's 420 at full price in the UK, delivered.

But given what we are rolling out, I think full price will be an inconsequential measure soon.

Are you referring to the hole in the welt that Cheshire pointed out on his pair or bumps/holes in the insole?

The hole in the welt. So why does that tiny hole occur sometimes?

I dont think we ever had a case of bumps in the insole.

the hole on the welt is not a necessary feature

all handwelt shoe has these tiny wavy bump in insole (you won't be bothered when you wear it but it's visible or you can run your finger over it)

and this is a no names taiwanese guy (never used him, and no name vs. the various high end chinese handwelt option popping up left and right)

scroll to his 3rd picture, that's pretty clean (think he is MTO only and probably $800 USD to start)

Hi Guys,

So we are disabling all dress shoes from the website for the time being as something very serious has come up and we need to investigate and get to the bottom of what is happening before moving forward.

We will follow with an update as soon as possible.

Best,

Rohan

Wow, just read the email regarding the issue with the hand welted footwear. I'm sorry you guys had this happen to one of your core offerings and in such a... shady way. Do you have any additional details as to what the construction changes were?

Saw your email. So what was the method the shoemaker used?

Just read the email. More Adriano bamboozles? Sorry about that. Again I don't mean to offend the guy or something but it's not the first time...

Can you describe a bit more what the problems were? Thanks and I hope everything will be well!

Hi guys, I promise I will be updating you first here when we know and understand it fully.

I have gone to bat for this guy, defended his stuff continuously, even entered arguments with select people about this product and its crazy because anyone with the shoes before these batches knows how amazing they are when.. well not done fraudulently.

The matter has escalated quite a bit but it was important that we share it. Everyone with a shoe that is affected will be followed up with.

With regards to the SF-01 etc we have prepared the makers of our GAT to do samples so we can keep the flow going just ing case. It now depends on the forthcomingness of the character.

I am sorry if I am a little quiet but I do want to share something accurate entirely.

What follows will be harsh but is with your best interest in mind.
you should cut Adriano off. This is far from the first time he fails or go and do changes or errors on his own
I know you are in love with the product, but his work is far from peerless. I know you believe the shoes have no equal in RTW, but the experts here have said otherwise. You can compare with AM, ACME, Saint Crispíns, and other high end non fashion brands and you will see it.
I can only imagine the problem that finding another craftsman must be, but in the long run it will be for the best.
adriano is not trustworthy nor peerless. Let him go.
